Commissioner

Commissioner
by: Sherida (Sthar) Bright

sways in her dress

swirls in her hair
wind in her chest
sun kissed skin

colors wearing thin
the tide rolling in
sand on her feet
shells hidden deep

she was so free
there was no need
a peace indeed
she was relieved

faith renewed
love proven true
there was life
within death

i must i must
go on she said
none had left
so she fled

passion swelling
love growing
desire discovered
eyes like no other

seed was planted

the harvest near
heaven is here
she had no fear

blood stained bruise
she knew the truth
life dissipated
soul reformed

children gathered
the chosen called
it was accomplished
the reformation had begun

Enigma

Enigma

Composed By: Sherida (Sthar) Bright The state of being, The act of existence To understand its meaning, And pursue its persistence How is it we are often so distant? The coming in between, Of life and everything, Forbidding that which is willing Life and circumstance, If not for a chance… If we were not so adamant… If the enigma was slightly familiar Would the arrival sustain its survival? If only there were answers To the things of which I encountered Would they ensure what is afore? Or leave me standing at the door To which I remain ignored…
